I have a little problem with TV out feature on my Debian sid box with nVidia graphic card. Actually it is more problem with my daughter :-) She wants to watch DVD on TV while I want to do some work.

I found TwinView option for nVidia graphic, I just have some trouble configuring it.

If I set "TwinViewOrientation" to "Clone" I can not do anything if I want to get film on TV.

If I set it to "RightOff" child panel, that is normally located at the right end of my monitor screen goes at the right end of TV screen. Wallpaper is stretched, and half of it is at monitor, and half at TV. Any window that opens opens half on monitor, half on TV. MPlayer window is stretched horizontally to it's double size (I know that I can change that from MPlayer, but I want some better solution).

Hire is how it is configured:

Section "Device" Identifier "Asus GeForce4" Driver "nvidia" BusID "PCI:02:00:0" VideoRam 65536 Option "UseFBDev" "true" vendorname "ASUS" boardname "V8170 MAGIC-T" Option "NoLogo" "on" Option "CursorShadow" "on" Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT, TV" Option "TwinView" "on" Option "TwinViewOrientation" "Clone" ^^^^^^^ If I set this to "RightOff" I have problem I described

Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "30-50" Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "60-70" Option "MetaModes" "1024x768,1024x768;1024x768,1024x768" Option "TVStandard" "PAL-B" Option "NoTwinViewXineramaInfo" "on" Option "TVOverScan" "0.6" EndSection

What I want is to have my desktop 1024x768, while my daughter can watch her movies on TV at the same time. Any ideas how to do that?
