problems with params calling perl from unix script

Hello everybody, I'm having problems when call from a unix script to a perl process related to the params. One of these params can have spaces and when this happen I don't know how to manage it to tell perl the correct params, because it puts every string separated for spaces into different params.

I tried to put quotes but it doesn't work.

My script is, at the same time, called from a web service, who pbuttes the parameters in this way:

... Process child=rtime.exec("-index.cron "+finalFolder+" "+extension); ... where 'finalFolder' is a folder from where I want to take some files with the 'extension' desidered.

And the part of the script where we make the perl call is this:

... ...

Then, everytime that the finalFolder contains spaces inside, the perl program receive more than two params... when I just want perl to consider as one param all the folder string. I've tried to put double quotes or single quotes in the finalFolder string, but there's no way, it's always wrong.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem!?
