problems with params calling perl from unix scriptHello everybody, I'm having problems when call from a unix script to a perl process related to the params. One of these params can have spaces and when this happen I don't know how to manage it to tell perl the correct params, because it puts every string separated for spaces into different params. I tried to put quotes but it doesn't work. Is linux free Hi, I thought Linux is free of cost. You can freely copy the installation cds, distribute with your friends, download from the net, etc. But since last one year... My script is, at the same time, called from a web service, who pbuttes the parameters in this way: ... Process child=rtime.exec("-index.cron "+finalFolder+" "+extension); ... where 'finalFolder' is a folder from where I want to take some files with the 'extension' desidered. Then, everytime that the finalFolder contains spaces inside, the perl program receive more than two params... when I just want perl to consider as one param all the folder string. I've tried to put double quotes or single quotes in the finalFolder string, but there's no way, it's always wrong. Does anyone know how to solve this problem!? Thanks in advance for your help!!!!
