iostat bug 4962
Hi Jean , Thanks for your reply. -I am not sure it is impossible. I have four 10,000rpm Ultra-320 SCSI hard -drives (and two 7,200...

Folks, I wanted to run gnome-wm on my remote desktop. It works very well when I'm inside my own subnet, e.g. 10.0.0.x, but if I go to say, an internet cafe, I cannot start it. Sample session below. Any ideas how to do this?

Part of the problem is that I am trying to use ports from within highly firewalled or NAT'd networks. I know some software can identify the type of ports that are open (nmap), and types of routing equipment sitting between on node and another (?). One possibility I thought about was forwarding port 6000 requests to commonly unblocked port 8080. The specifics I don't know, but the idea seemed plausible. Thanks BEA
