wireless lan 101 4681Peter T. Breuer Sorry if I seemed to be flaming. That was not my intent. I am using Suse 9.3 in a laptop with Pentium 4, 2.66gHz. It has a built in Toshiba mini-pci B wireless adapter. I recently found out that it uses a TI (Texas Instrument) chip set. I also have a PC Card (Hawking HWC54G). Both work with no problems in XP. The wireless router is a SMC "G" speed router. I configured both adapters as well as I knew how in Suse, trying first one and then the other. When I click on the Network folder on the desktop I can see no networks, not mine (which is wpa protected) nor any of the many unprotected networks I am surrounded with. I do not know where to go from here. I visited numerous Linux and network websites but cannot get Suse to see itself or any wireless networks. I know I have it configured wrong, but do not know how to correct it especially since I am new to linux and do not know it command line tools and am using Yast to configure the adapters.
